Sometimes the immensity of the density and intensity requires a bit of compensity. So, the heck with profundity, bring on pro-fun for me!
A few poems on the state of post-postmodernity, to inaugurate my “just for kicks” category.
.
Untitled #1*
The problem of postmodernity
is it’s given too much purchase, see?
While post-postmodernity gets slighted.
Who decided postmodernity got knighted
as protector of contempor civilization?
Because it lacks spirit, I’ve hesitations
As to it’s worthiness to rule.
At least post-pomodernity will be cool.
.
Untitled #2*
The “santa” of modernity
Transmogrified dyslexically
In the presence of post-pomodernity
To the “satan” of consumedisease
That nullified community
And crucified spirituality
While viewing life so skeptic’ly
.
“Postmodern” is a noxiousmoron
the best we can do is to ignore on
account of language-absent-meaning,
proponents should therefore be screaming
silence.
.
*It is a postmodern or post-postmodern irony, of course, to post a poem with the title “Untitled.” But then, I’m not sure if a poem is even entitled to have a title. And perhaps under the cause of deconstruction, the title should be totaled. Nevertheless, I’ll leave the unentitled title Untitled, and leave the exotics of semiotics to you to figure out.

Is post-postmodernism ironic or post-ironic?
